The Karaite Jewish University (KJU) has officially launched its new academic year! We are pleased to welcome a diverse group of new students who have successfully begun the first module of the Certificate in Karaite Jewish Studies program.

During the opening live class, students and lecturers engaged in a lively and thoughtful exchange, reflecting the international and scholarly spirit of KJU. Participants joined from Switzerland, France, Germany, and the United States, bringing together a wide range of backgrounds, languages, and perspectives—all united by a shared dedication to the study of the Miqra and the principles of Karaite Judaism.

The first module, Fundamentals and Biblical Exegesis, introduces students to the core principles of pĕshāṭ interpretation—the plain, contextual meaning of the Hebrew text—and lays the foundation for understanding Karaite theology and practice.

We are grateful for the enthusiasm and commitment of our new students and look forward to an inspiring year of study, discussion, and discovery.
